Originally from England, I spent numerous years working in the field of makeup and beauty in both London and Manchester.  Here I worked at the prestigious stores, House of Fraser, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols, for the makeup houses Yves Saint Laurent, Benefit, Lancome and Calvin Klein.

This experience gave me a deeper insight into which houses produce the best lipstick, mascara, eyeshadows etc, as there is no one brand that is better than another.  Every house has it's own specialiy!

In 2005 I relocated to Zeeland in the Netherlands.  Once my two children were old enough to go to school I re-embraced my passion for makeup and qualified as a professional makeup artist and hairstylist at the internationally acclaimed makeup school, 'Mieke Petiet'.

MY WORK

With all the classical training under my belt I started work as a freelancer in 2016.

As well as taking private bookings for bridal and evening makeup, I also work as a makeup artist at television studio Omroep Zeeland Here I get the news readers and their studio guests makeup ready for the broadcasts.

I have also worked with Middelburg based music group 'RoMi Cage' doing the makeup for their video clip, 'who we really are'.

I also did Romy's makeup when 'Lace' had the honour of performing for King Willem Alexander on his visit to Vlissingen in 2017.

I worked again with Romy and girl band 'These girls are Loud' getting them all makeup ready for their performances at Lions Lentefeest in Vlissingen.

I was the makeup artist for the short Dutch Sci Fi Film 'TWEE', directed by Eddie Bimmel.  This film won the award 'Gouden Zeester 2016' and was nominated in 2017 and 2019 for an award at the International short film festival in Kalmhout, Belgium and Middelburg , Nederland.

I have worked on fashion shows, including, 'Happy Days' in Vlissingen, where i did the makeup for children, brides and models ready for the catwalk.

I have done various photo shoots, working with tops international photographers, including 'Bianca Toeps', as well as more local based projects such as Miss Zeeland.

Another project close to my heart that I have been working with since 2015 is 'Look Good Feel Better'. A non profit organization providing workshops in makeup advice and tips to women of all ages, suffering from cancer and dealing with the effects of changes to their appearance that the treatment brings.

MY PASSION

Working with 'Look Good Feel Better' is an incredibly rewarding experience and the ladies' positivity reinforces my belief that makeup, when applied correctly and with colours and styles suited to the individual, it really can instill self confidence and happiness.

With this in mind and your needs at the forefront, I offer customized  appointments to women in a relaxed and friendly environment.  Here we assess your individual features, style and colouring to come up with an easy to follow plan.  I show you which products are best suited to you and how to correctly apply them in your day to day makeup, to bring out the best of your features.

As a follow up to this, for those that want, I am also available to come along with you to navigate the minefield that can be makeup shopping.  I make sure that you buy the best products suited to you, so that you do not fall prey to the often target based sales assistants that have to push the latest seasons colours!
